Answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, creating new patient accounts, rerouting calls to the appropriate departments, go over proposed treatment plans, verifying insurance benefits, coordinating schedules, confirming appointments, follow up on missed and upcoming patient appointments, text and email patients regarding appointments and treatment plan questions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Listens to customer requests, referring to patient accounts to answer questions and provide appropriate information.
- Performs clerical duties such as typing, proofreading, and sorting mail.
- Update patient account information.
- Keeps records of calls placed and received
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months of related experience
- Must be able to multi-task, be customer service oriented, proficient on a computer using different types of software (Microsoft word, outlook)
- Detail oriented and work well under pressure
- Must be fluent in English and have excellent phone and communication skills
- Experience with Eagle soft is highly recommended
- Knowledgeable with HMO, Denti-Cal, and PPO
